With the observance of self-representation and the ephemerality of the instantaneous photographic moment, Re-Flat plays on these notions by creating ephemeral constructed tableaus of the portrait images. By creating an image, a specific moment is captured within the sensor/film within the camera and thereafter that moment is universally non-existent besides said documentation. This is re-contextualized via the printed image and how it plays on the various perceptions and physical formalities of structure by which the viewer of an image may look. This allows the viewer to now re-contemplate the original image through the layering process of photographing, printing, and then re-photographing that has now captured and re-assembled the moment in a differentiated state of objecthood.
